In 2023, Caitlin was working her first “grown-up” job as a marketing manager at a tech company, which really meant wearing every hat imaginable: marketing, copywriting, communications, strategy… and social media, where she discovered a real knack for telling stories online.
Through her local business network, Caitlin met her first freelance client. At the time, she had no idea how to run a business - no brand, no growth plan, and no marketing strategy for herself. Someone needed help, so she jumped in.
That client loved the results so much that she started telling her colleagues, “You need to hire our marketing girl, Caitlin.”
One client became two, then three, all through word of mouth. The only thing missing? A name. “Our Marketing Girl Social Media Agency” didn’t exactly roll off the tongue, but she wanted to nod to the nickname that started it all. And just like that, OMG Social was born.
Fast forward to today: we’re a team of five, working with businesses across Canada and the U.S. Our clients aren’t just happy - they’re expanding their packages because they see what’s possible with the right social media strategy. As our clients say, “Just call our marketing girl.”
