How do we do it?
If we had a nickel for every time we heard that just anyone can do social media strategy. Yes, your teenagers are probably well-versed in social media trends, but are those trends right for your business? Moreover, do you really want them handling your marketing when they can barely be bothered to take out the garbage?
Yes, it can look like what we do is a lot of fun design work and sometimes silly videos, but there’s actually a method to the madness in everything that we do. Our clients’ success on social media is no accident, and the fact that their businesses are growing tells us that we’re on the right track.
Here’s a few things that go into our secret sauce:
Research
We do our homework! When we take on a new client, it’s absolutely never a one-size-fits-all approach. Even if we’ve worked with other clients in your city, and other clients in your industry, we still make sure we’re taking an approach that’s unique to you and your business.
That means that we do our research. Part of that is our discovery process, where we’ll ask you what feels like a million questions, and then sometimes a million more (don’t worry, it’s not actually that many). We really want to learn about what makes your business unique, and what sets you apart from your competitors in a crowded market.
We also want to know about who you think your target audience is. Who are you looking to reach? Are they of a specific age bracket, or income bracket, or located in a super specific area? We want to know who you have your eyes on so that we can produce content that’s going to have the most impact on them.
Lastly, we research that audience ourselves! What are they seeing online? What trends are they following? What’s motivating them to make decisions? You may know your audience in person, but knowing their online behaviours can be entirely different.
Following Competitors
What are your competitors doing? Of course that can be a painful question sometimes, especially if they’re having success in an area where you’re struggling. But we don’t just want to know that your competitors are successful. We want to know why!
We do a deep dive analysis on your competitors to see what content they’re posting, and how well it’s working. Have they caught onto a trend that may be beneficial in your industry? We’ll investigate it further and see if it’s the right fit for you. Are they not getting much engagement at all? Maybe they’re doing things that we should definitely avoid.
We also want to look at how their message is coming across. Is it really speaking to your target audience? Or are they just feeding AI slop and hoping that no one notices? We refuse to feed your clients drivel, so we’ll see what your competitors are doing that’s working well, but we’ll always try and find a way to do it better.
Analyzing Trends
You’ve probably noticed at least a few trends online, but honestly they come about so quickly that it can be hard to keep up. Some of them are a flash in the pan, others can stay popular for a few weeks or sometimes even a few months, but which ones are right for you and your brand? That’s where we come in.
We’re not against getting creative, but we’re also not going to shoot videos of you doing silly dances if it’s not aligned with your brand! We’re also not going to use a silly audio when talking about a serious topic, or a serious audio when talking about a silly topic, because they just don’t go well together (usually).
We analyze trends through the lens of your business. If there’s something that makes sense for you, we’ll find the best way to get you on the bandwagon and gain some added attention. If it doesn’t make sense right now, we know another one will be along soon!

Our communication with our clients is crucial to us. How do you know if what we’re doing is working?
We’re not just going to throw numbers at you and leave you to figure them out. We take the time to explain our results and what’s worked well, and talk about our approach moving forward. We truly believe that the best approach to social media is collaborative, and we’ll work with you to make sure you’re getting content that works.
